Cappadocia (Cappadocia) - this beautiful, fun word called a region in central Turkey, located on the Anatolian plateau. Translated from the Persian "Cappadocia" means "land of beautiful horses" - perhaps once beautiful horse really lived there, but these days, this area is renowned for something else. As a result of volcanic eruptions and subsequent Erciyes long evolutionary transformations in the territory of any of Cappadocia amazing, with nothing comparable to natural phenomena - bizarre mountains, rocks incredible shapes and colors, covered windows and mysterious labyrinths, valleys, fascinating for its extraterrestrial species more like the moon or Martian landscapes. Millions of years of frozen lava of different compositions were exposed to heat and cold, wind and water, which are machined from lava and ash unique rock pillars, dunes, pyramids and other creations that capture the imagination of any traveler. In addition to the miraculous wonders of Cappadocia attracts attention and creations of its inhabitants - the whole mountain towns were cut in the soft rock of the surrounding rocks. About a thousand years ago, the early Christians "constructed" is amazing cave churches and monasteries, the most valuable of which are combined in the "open air museum", introduced into by now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many of these churches are decorated with wonderful frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Christ and other saints.
